Cost Estimation Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:
Cost Estimators collect and analyze data in order to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to manufacture a product, construct a building, or provide a service. They generally specialize in a particular industry or type of product.
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
  • Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, designer, clients, suppliers and contractors on estimates
  • Evaluate a product’s cost-effectiveness or profitability
  • Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable
  • Work with sales team to prepare estimates and bids for clients
  • Develop project plans for the duration of the project

Accurately predicting the cost, size, and duration of future construction and manufacturing projects is vital to the survival of business, Cost estimator’s calculations give managers or investors this information.
When making calculations, estimators analyze many inputs in order to determine how much time,  money, and labor a project needs and how profitable it will be. These estimates have to take many factors into account, including allowances for wasted material, bad weather, shipping delays, and other factors that can increase costs and lower profitability

 Skills & Qualifications:
  • Keen to details
  • At least 1 year experience in the same field but fresh graduate are welcome to apply
  • Experience in Architectural or interior renovation project is an advantage
  • Can adopt easily to changes
  • High comprehension and understanding
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering(Civil), Architecture or equivalent
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
  • Project management and supervision skills
  • Decision making ability and leadership skills
  • Current engineer license
  • Time management and organization skills
