WORLDBEX 2019: A Sustainable and Innovative World Built Bolder
Dubbed as Asia’s biggest and most attended construction show, the Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition also known as WORLDBEX is back with another world-class event this year featuring a myriad of products, business deals and seminars in the construction, architecture, interior design and real estate industries. In partnership with some of the country’s leading building and designing materials, the 24th WORLDBEX convention was attended by an astounding 180,000 visitors and participated by 775 local and international exhibitors from 16 countries. A total of 1,500 booths to scout and shop from, WORLDBEX 2019 spanned across the accumulated 33sqm capacity of the World Trade Center Metro Manila and SMX Convention Center Manila where it is held last March 13-17.
Hosted by Worldbex Services International’s (WSI), WORLDBEX has been championing business deals between stakeholders, showcasing building equipment and designing materials, and unveiling alternative and innovative products to further extend the growth and network of the construction field.
Coinciding with the incumbent government’s infrastructure development program or the Build Build Build, WORLDBEX acts as an instrument for some of the most outstanding professionals and key players in the building and designing sphere from across the globe to convene. By strengthening the partnership between eminent and small-time entrepreneurs under this commercial enterprise, WORLDBEX vows to boost the country’s economy and empower communities through building a more sustainable and innovative world.
Philippine Construction Industry Remains Bullish
The Philippines has posted favorable data with regards to the construction industry’s performance last year. According to reports of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the sector grew to an impressive 21.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2018, faster than the 4.3 percent growth recorded in 2017. The upswing was mainly driven by surges in both public and private construction with a total value at PHP122.4 billion in 2018 compared to the PHP81.7 billion recorded in the same quarter of 2017. That 49.8 percent growth is manifested by the 40,369 approved building permits accumulated in 2018 from the 33,445 constructions posted in 2017.
